Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette

From the edgy gold, white and black packaging to the creamy long-lasting eyeshadows, Urban Decay’s collab with Gwen Stefani feels like their most luxurious release to date. I also think that it also feels like their most sturdy product yet, due to the heavy magnetic lid and taller height.

Before I received this, my go-to for natural colours was the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. They are both in the higher price end for eyeshadow palettes retailing at close to £40 each but for the quality and number of shadows included (15 in Urban Decay and 16 in Too Faced) they more than surpass the lower end alternatives I’ve tried.

Saying that, I still adore my Too Faced palette especially when I want a pink, brown or khaki shimmer. If I just want to define my eyes with matt shades this palette wins every time. The shade ‘Anaheim’ is a favourite, a cool toned brown that is perfect for defining the outer corner and sweeping into the centre for subtle definition and an eye-opening effect.

‘Punk’ is a beautiful plum/burgundy shade which looks so pretty in the outer corner after applying ‘Stark’ all over the lid.
